COMMUNICATION POLICY:
I strive to conduct myself in a kind and gracious manner. If you wish to conduct business with me, I require the same of you. If, at any point within our interactions, your messages become rude, demanding, or badgering, I will cancel your commission request (or paid order) and cease further communication. Future orders with your name/address will not be honored. You will not be welcome in my space. Harassment will not be tolerated.

MATERIALS
All items are made from usually-handmade, always-secondhand textiles (quilts, knit blankets, crochet blankets) so please expect the kind of "flaws" and imperfections that come with a one-of-its-kind, handmade item as well as those that come with age: mending, pilling, loose stitches/seams, wear, irregularities, fading, discoloration, holes, spots, lingering scents and smells. There may be pet hair or human hair embedded in the stitches but I do my best to remove these as I spot them. I do my best to note glaring or overall imperfections but I may not always see them.  When I address pilling/fuzzies, I do not worry about the inside - only the outside. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM ME IF YOU WANT A PERFECT ITEM IN ABSOLUTELY NEW CONDITION. None of my items are new. None of my items are perfect.

CONSTRUCTION
All garments are constructed with the most basic techniques, sometimes a simple fold-and-hem. I base my construction decisions on the materials and desired movement of the piece, as well as the general desire to keep it simple. All garments are unlined-- this means the seams and raw fabric/material edges are visible on the inside. I may use a sewing machine or may stitch by hand. Seams may look untidy when left longer but this is intentional and serves a purpose. Because I have to make cuts in the blankets, you will find some “construction debris” (bits of yarn) with your first wash/wear or two, and this is totally normal. Since the seams are raw, you may have to trim them again after the first wash.

CART/CHECKOUT
Placing an item in your cart does not hold it. It's possible someone may have the same item in their cart and checkout faster than you. In that case, you will not receive an order confirmation. PayPal, one of the secure payment processors I offer, may still place a hold on those funds which appears to be a purchase in your bank account. (I don't understand why they do this and I wish they didn't.) PayPal often removes that hold within 24-48 hours but if the problem persists, please contact PayPal directly. I'm happy to support your complaint/request to PayPal in whatever way I can but I am very limited in what I can do.

MEASUREMENTS/SIZES
All measurements, dimensions, sizes are approximate and in inches unless otherwise stated. I try my best to measure accurately but it's always possible that I could be a little bit off.

HOW CAN I ORDER A "SOLD OUT" ITEM?
I'm sorry - there is usually only one of each item so if it says "sold out", there are no more.

DO YOU OFFER WHOLESALE?
No, not at this time. If you'd like some of my pieces for your shop, I will consider bulk commission requests on a supply-your-own (SYO) basis. Standard commission rates apply. See the Supply-Your-own Commission page for details. The only aspect that would be different from a standard SYO commission is that I will schedule your order instead of putting in the work queue once materials arrive.

DO YOU ACCEPT HOLDS, CUSTOM ORDERS/SUPPLY-YOUR-OWN COMMISSIONS, OR PRE-ORDERS?
No holds. No pre-orders. Sometimes I accept custom orders - please consult the Custom page for more information and to see if I am open to them at any given time.

DO YOU SELL PATTERNS FOR THESE SWEATERS SO I CAN MAKE MY OWN?
My granny sweaters are made from blankets ("afghans") already in existence so, no, I do not have patterns for these in sweater form. I do have patterns for several of these designs in afghan form. With a little thought, you can easily adapt the afghan pattern into pieces that can be stitched together to form a sweater. (I'm thinking about making a tutorial for this!) If there is a particular *afghan* (not sweater) pattern you'd like to have, send a message through my contact form. If I don't have it, I will try to find it for you.

WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

Ohio, USA

WHEN/HOW DO YOU SHIP?
I will ship your order within 7 business days unless otherwise stated in the individual listing. I use USPS/GlobalPost for international. I use USPS and UPS for domestic. I insure each package. When your order ships, you will receive an email with the tracking number. Please check your spam if you're missing it.

Where possible, shipping materials (boxes, mailers, etc) are resused. I use recycleable paper packing tape, biodegradable plant-derived clear packing tape, and recycled paper labels. I use as little plastic as possible.

REFUSED/RETURNED PACKAGE: If a package is mistakenly refused or returned to me in error, you MUST get in touch with me. If you wish the item to be re-shipped, I will require the new shipping fees to be paid first. Packages returned to me with no prior agreement/understanding will receive a refund of 50% of the cost of the item only. Under no circumstances will I refund shipping costs when there is no error on my part.

DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?
As of 11/2/2023, all international shipping is paused.

DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS OR EXCHANGES?
No returns. No exchanges. All sales are final. I try to give you as much information as possible so you know exactly what you're getting. Please examine photos. Please be sure to read the description carefully and know your size. Please ask questions if you're unsure of any aspect.

WASHING

All materials are washed before assembling with either a (scented) enzyme detergent for a deep clean or a gentle detergent scented with essential oils. I do not use fabric softener or any scent booster. I use dryer sheets or wool dryer balls for static. I may wash an item two or three times but you may still notice that vintage smell, if it exists. The garment may require additional washes to completely remove it. I may -but do not typically- wash items after assembling. I recommend hand spot-washing or gentle cycle, cold water. You will find some “construction debris” (bits of yarn) with your first wash or two and this is totally normal. Since the seams are raw, you may have to trim them again after the first wash.
